Delivery & Returns


We offer two methods of delivery, both are intended to ensure receiving your order is as convenient (and enjoyable!) as possible.  For furniture deliveries we have a specialist two person team who will deliver and install the furniture for you, for smaller items that we can post out we use a courier company.  You can of course choose collect your furniture from our warehouse in Derbyshire if you prefer.

Furniture Delivery Service

For our furniture we offer a delivery and installation service to ensure that your precious new furniture arrives safely and is installed correctly so you can get on with enjoying it!

Our furniture delivery & installation service includes: -

  • • A specialist 2 person delivery team
  • • A two hour delivery slot*
  • • A call one hour before they arrive
  • • Installation of your furniture in the room of your choice
  • • Removal of all packaging for recycling and no mess left behind!
  • • Instructions of how to care for your furniture & an Authentic care pack
  • • Need a weekend or evening delivery, why doesn't everyone do them?  Well we can, please let us know on order and we can arrange it for you for a small surcharge
  • • For a small fee we can also remove your old furniture for recycling, just let us know when you order

*While we do everything in our power to stick rigidly to the quoted delivery slot sometimes events out of our control can affect the time frame, we will however keep in touch to ensure you’re always updated with our estimated time of arrival.

What happens next?

All our furniture is handmade to order, we therefore quote 6-8 weeks from payment of your deposit and confirmation of your order to delivery.  Your sales person will contact you about 2-4 weeks before delivery to arrange a convenient date, we do most of our deliveries Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm but for a small surcharge evening and weekend deliveries can be arranged if necessary, please let us know when you order so that we can arrange this for you.

Your delivery team will contact you either the evening before or on the morning of the delivery before 8am to give you a 2 hour time slot, they will then also call you 1 hour before they arrive to give you an update on their progress.

Following placing an order, we may need to send you a simple delivery questionnaire to help ensure that any large pieces of furniture can be easily delivered into your home. We’d hate to arrive and not be able to fit you’re lovely new furniture in!

Please note all deliveries require a signature from an adult, you will be given a copy of the Delivery Note for your own records.  Please ensure that you advise us of any issues with your delivery or the service you have received as soon as possible.

Delivery costs

To find out how much furniture delivery is to your home simply enter your post code on any product page from the 'Delivery' tab, additionally you can enter your postcode from within your Basket before checking out.

For smaller items we use the trusted courier DPD (we think they’re the best as they text you to confirm the delivery and allow change of days, etc to make things as easy as possible).  We charge £10 for pretty much everywhere in the UK but a little more for the lovely remote places and offshore addresses (maximum charge is £20).  Carrier deliveries are Monday to Friday 8am till 6pm, Saturday deliveries can be arranged for a small surcharge.

Your furniture is handmade to order and we need around 6-8 weeks from order to delivery.  Most accessories are held in stock and can be dispatched for a next day delivery.

Accessory only orders are charged as advised above, however if you also order furniture our system will apply the furniture delivery cost and your accessories will be delivered at the same time.  If you would like your accessory delivery sooner please let our sales team know when they call to confirm your order and we’ll get them sent straight out (charged at carrier delivery rate).  Alternatively please place your furniture and accessories orders separately so our system applies the correct delivery charge - sorry about this, we are working on a solution.

21 day FREE returns

Simple and straightforward; if for any reason you’re not 100% delighted with your Authentic furniture then we’ll come back, collect it and refund you in full.  All we ask is that the item is unused and undamaged and that you inform us within 21 days of receiving your goods, see terms & conditions for full details.
