Celebrity Yorkshire pudding guru, Chris Blackburn , will be showing off his culinary skills at Authentic Furniture, all in the name of charity.
Chris will reveal his tips on how to make the perfect Yorkshire pudding, as well as raise money for Make a Wish Foundation UK. In addition, the chef will also show guests some of the more unusual Yorkshire pudding combinations like oriental duck for the savoury palette and cherry Bakewell for those with a sweet tooth. Chris will be using our Lacanche heat storage stove and cooker, which sits proudly in our bespoke shaker-style character oak kitchens.
Attendees at the event on Saturday 12 April will have the chance to relax in style on British handcrafted sofas and chairs while they sample Chris’ delights straight from the oven.
You will also have the option of sitting at our Old Mill dining table , made from 100-year-old reclaimed wood, or trying out our Boardwright round table , expertly designed to create an authentic version of the 17th century Versailles parquetry pattern.
Chris, who shot to stardom on ITV’s Food Glorious Food, and has also appeared on Country House Sunday and the One Show, said: “We think it is important to write recipes that anybody can achieve. Those coming along to Authentic Furniture will not only taste some delicious Yorkies, but also take away some helpful tips on how to achieve the perfect Yorkie at home. Make a Wish Foundation UK is a fantastic charity and I’m delighted that ‘the perfect Yorkshire pud’ demonstration will support such a worthy cause.”
